- The connection between a lower body weight and moderate alcohol consumption is particularly strong among women; this connection can also be found in men, but to a much lesser degree.
- People aged 12-20 were more likely than adults to have seen 66,218 alcohol ads in 2002, a 30% increase over 2001.
- The prevalence of current drinking among persons aged 21 to 25 also declined significantly from 70% in 1985 to 56% in 1991, but increased to 60% by 1999.
